Aug 16th, 2008  This is the first trip to Marshfield Speedway of the year.  Mark sets fast time.  Starting 14th in the 25 lap feature, Mark makes his way to 2nd.

Aug 15th, 2008  Mark was very busy on Friday night at Golden Sands Speedway.  When arriving at the track, super stock owner, Ben Martinson asked Mark if he would drive the #5 super stock, normally driven by Galen Manternach,  in the limited late model race.  Brian Back was supposed to drive the car but he was in the hospital with his son.  With very limited practice, Mark sets fast time in the limited late model and 2nd in time in his late model.  Starting 12th, in the limited late model 30 lap feature, Mark quickly started making his way to the front.  In his first limited late model race, Mark wins the feature.  With the late model cars in line waiting to race the 40 lap feature, Mark quickly jumps from the 5 car to the 71 car.  Starting 8th on the field, Mark starts making his way through to the front.  With a few laps to go, Mark is running 3rd but makes the outside groove stick just enough to edge Jeff Weinfurter for 2nd place.

Aug 8th, 2008  Mark qualified 2nd at Golden Sands Speedway on friday.  Starting all 21 cars in the 40 lap feature was not to Marks benefit.  Lap traffic became a problem in the few remaining laps and Mark finished 4th.

Aug. 1st, 2008  The WCS was at Golden Sands Speedway tonight.  Mark qualified 7th.  In the 100 lap event Mark struggled a little with an ill handling race car, he finished in 8th position.

July 25th, 2008  Mark qualified 2nd at Golden Sands Speedway and finished 2nd in the feature.

July 19th, 2008  The WCS is at Wisconsin International Raceway today.  Mark qualifies 17th.  Trying to beat the rain that is headed to the track, they bypass the preliminary events and gets right to the 100 lap White race.  Mark has a long way to go from his 17th starting position.  Slow and steady, Mark continues to pass cars one by one and finishes 5th.

July 18th, 2008  For the 2nd week in a row at Golden Sands, Mark has fast time.  In the 40 lap feature, Mark makes his way up to finish 4th.

July 12th, 2008  Back at Dells Raceway Park, Mark qualifies 4th for the 50 lap feature.  With a caution coming out with 11 laps to go, Mark running 2nd, does not let the leader, Todd Stapleman out of his sights.  They battle down to the checkered flag but Mark can not make the pass.  Mark will finish 2nd.

July 5th, 2008  The WCS heads to Dells Raceway Park.  Mark qualifies 5th out of 30 cars.  As Mark takes the car to the front straight away for introductions for the 100 lap race, the car starts to smoke, alot.  As they are doing intro's, Keith Bohmsach runs to the front stretch to try to determine the problem, not being able to detect anything, the decision is to drop to the back and run some warm up laps and then take the green flag and pull in.  On the last lap of warm ups, surprisingly, the smoke disappears!  Deciding to start from his 8th starting position, Mark makes his way back up.  With a lot of eyes on the car, Mark not only finishes the race, but he finishes 3rd.  That makes it a podium finish for all WCS so far this year.  Great job.

July 3rd, 2008  Mark is the quick timer at Golden Sands tonight.  Starting 9th in the 50 lap feature, he finishes 3rd.

June 27th, 2008  Golden Sands cancelled due to rain.

June 24th, 2008  Mark has been looking forward to the  All Star Challenge race in Madison since last year where he finished 2nd to Matt Kenseth.  Unfortunately, after being happy with the car in practice, as Mark was qualifying, he blew the right rear tire going into turn 3 and hit the wall hard.  With a very heavily damaged race car, this would end the day for the team.

June 20th, 2008  Mark qualified 6th at Golden Sands this Friday.  On lap 9 of the 40 lap feature, there was a red flag for a brief rain shower.  After the racing  resumed, Mark finished 2nd behind fellow racer Keith Bohmsach, who would claim his 2nd feature of the year.  Another great night for both teams.

June 14th, 2008  Today the WCS travels to Kaukauna, with 40 cars on hand, Mark qualifies 16th, just making the 100 lap Red Race.  Starting 16th in the race, Mark slowly starts making progress passing cars.  He just sneaks past some spinning cars numerous times, once spinning to avoid an accident and making contact with the wall, resulting in a small amount of damage to the rear of the car.  He comes home with another podium finish in 3rd place.

June 13th, 2008  This week at Golden Sands Speedway, Mark qualified 4th.  After struggling a little in the heat race, the team set out to make changes on the car.  In the feature, the changes paid off, with Mark finishing 3rd.

June 6th, 2008  This Friday at Golden Sands Speedway, Mark qualified 7th.  In the 40 lap feature, Mark was stuck on the outside with a line of cars nose to tail on the bottom.  With no chance of getting to the bottom groove, Mark found himself slowly sliding to the back.  He finished 7th.

May 30th, 2008  After winning last Friday, the rule at Golden Sands Speedway is you must start in the back the next week.  Mark qualified 4th and finished 10th in the feature.

May 26th, 2008  The WCS opener has finally arrived.  After the first 2 races were cancelled due to weather, today was a picture perfect day at Golden Sands Speedway.  The team prepared 2 cars to take to the track today, with fellow racer and friend Keith Bohmsach to drive the second car.  Both cars struggled during practice, but both making the show by time with Keith qualifying 11th and Mark coming away with fast time honors, with a time of 11.85. The invert would put the 71x of Bohmsach on the pole and Mark 11th.  The start of the 100 lap feature, both cars once again struggled to maintain their positions.  Keith struggled all day with a car that would just not handle, and Marks car came around after a few laps.  Towards the end of the race Mark was battling for second but lap traffic played a part in not achieving that goal and had to settle for 3rd.  After tech, Mark would be awarded 2nd place due to the 2nd place car not meeting post race tech.  Keith would come home 13th.

May 24th, 2008  At the Dells Raceway Park, Mark qualified 14th.  With the invert, Mark started 14th, in the 50 lap feature.  At the green flag, it was a race to get to the bottom of the track and run single file.  With no outside groove and no passing, Mark finished 11th.

May 23rd, 2008  The first win of the season!  With a few extra cars at Golden Sands Speedway tonight getting ready for the Memorial WCS race on Monday, Mark qualified 4th.

In the feature, Mark was able to keep his car turning on the bottom and took home the 1st win of the 08 season.

May 17th, 2008  The WCS race at Marshfield Super Speedway was cancelled due to rain.

May 10th, 2008  The opener at Dells Motor Park was cancelled after the heats were completed due to rain.  Mark qualified 9th.

May 9th, 2008   The first race of the season at Golden Sands Speedway, Mark qualified 2nd.  Turning the 1st lap of the year in the 11 seconds!!  Mark then went on to finish 2nd behind fellow racer Keith Bohmsach.  What a great first two races to start off the year.

May 4th, 2008   After the first 3 weeks of racing was cancelled due to rain and cold weather, the team decided to take a chance and enter the ASA Midwest Tour, Echo Chainsaw 100 at Madison Internationl Raceway.  The team had an up and down kind of day.  Mark qualified 19th out of 46 cars.  He then went on to win his qualifying heat race, which would earn him a 19th starting position in the 100 lap race.  On lap 13, Mark and Matt Koucerck made contact in turn 2, with both cars spinning.  Both cars were able to continue.  With Mark now in 26th position, things were looking bleak.  But with a good handling race car and a great job avoiding  spinning cars, he was soon running in the top 10.  Another caution came out with 13 laps to go, taking out 3 of the front runners.  Now Mark was running 4th, right behind Sprint Cup point leader Kyle Busch.  On the restart, Mark was able to get up to Busch but could not secure the position.  The last 3 laps were very exciting, Mark once again made a charge at Busch and was able to get on the inside of him and they raced wheel to wheel.  On the white flag lap, Mark was a nose ahead of Busch going into turn 3, it was a drag race to the finish line.  With a photo finish, Kyle beat Mark to the line by .007 seconds.  The team was very excited about another great run at MIS.
